I first met Emma & James in Fiji last year when they were guests at Emma’s cousin’s wedding which I captured. I loved James sense of humor and Emma is a lovely soul so we hit it off and when they seen the photos from the wedding they asked if I would come back to Fiji in 2019 to capture their special day! I was like “HELL TO THE YEAH”!!
The lead up to the wedding we discussed the big day and how they just wanted a chilled day and for everyone to enjoy themselves which is exactly what their special day was! Chilling with James and his mates in the his room sharing a bottle of aged port was a good start to the day! Got some shots of James with his mates in the background throwing banter before heading to Emma. Emma is such a lovely happy lady and with her hair, makeup and the dress, well she really glowed and I was certain James would shed a tear as he watched her walk down the aisle!
Short buggy ride up to the Chapel with the amazing views is where James and Emma said I do with their closet friends and family present! After the ceremony the guests headed to the Sundowner bar for pre reception drinks and I suggested that James & Emma join them as we had heaps of time and they could spend some time with their guests before whisking them away for photos and to chase the Fiji Sunset!!
The grounds and gardens of the Outrigger are gorgeous so there was ample opportunity for great shots just within the resort. We jumped back on the buggy and headed up the hill again to a sneaky little spot where the Outrigger take their B&G’s to get an awesome shot of the sunset overlooking the local Villages.
Their entrance to the reception was soon accompanied with traditional dancers showcasing dances from Fiji and the surrounding Islands with guests being asked to join them which was fun to capture. The same dancers are also Fire Dancers and their show was smoking hot to say the least!! Pun Intended!! :P
The traditional dishes with the buffet were tasty and with the drinks flowing and the tunes pumping, the night was one to remember!! Such an honour to have been asked to travel to Fiji once again to capture James & Emma’s special day! Thank you Mr & Mrs Jensen for choosing my wife and I to be a part of your special day!
