David & Kalyn, decided to exchange vows in their front garden and I loved the simplicity and intimacy of their special afternoon surrounded by family and close friends!! 😍

I loved the wedding outfits they purchased for their fur babies making sure they were dressed for the occasion and they made great page boy and flower girls!

Such a lovely ceremony in their front garden followed by some refreshments in the back garden followed by photos in their backyard with a lovely arbor then some quick shots in the street as the sun peered through the clouds to give us some great light for about 30 seconds which was enough to get some cracking shots before they headed out to dinner to celebrate with family!

When I first met John & Treena for their pre-wedding consult and I could see the love they had for each other was strong and they had a great sense of humour so we got on well and I knew capturing their special day was going to be fun and relaxed.

After some prep shots with John and his best man then shots with Treena and her maid of honour, they had a small but intimate ceremony under the rotunda at the Seagulls Resort surrounded by family and close friends. Loved the fact that as soon as John turned around he was taken back and teared up instantly and Treena had a giggle and a smile from ear to ear seeing her husband to be! 😍

After the group and family photos, their guest had some canapes and refreshments while I walked Treena & John straight across the road from the resort to a grassy location that had gorgeous light for some location shots with the newlyweds! Lots of cheeky comments and laughs were had by us all and it was a fun time spent with them and capturing these moments for them.

Just before sunset, we headed back into the reception to cut the cake and my last shot before leaving was in the Rotunda with some backlit flash which I knew would be an awesome shot!! 😍

I traveled to the gorgeous location of Cape Gloucester just north of Airlie Beach to capture Mikayla & Aaron become Mr & Mrs!! 😍 I first had this cute couple in front of my lens for their engagement shoot at Alva Beach and it was such a fun and relaxed afternoon with them and when they told me of their wedding location, I knew they wished for their special day to be the same!

Capturing bridal prep with Mikayla and her bride tribe was fun and also had a slight element of danger as a popped champagne cork flew straight at me as you can see in the images below! I have quick reflexes so no one was hurt in the making of those images! 😛

The ceremony was a gorgeous setup with an arbor on the beach overlooking the ocean and with Aaron & Mikayla barefoot which was a great touch! Aaron being a mad keen fisherman was distracted at one point of the boat that passed close by heading out for a day of fishing! 😊 It was such a fun ceremony filled with laughter and kisses of course. After group and family photos we headed further down the dirt road to an awesome open location on the beach with large boulders and an amazing view of the sunset for location photos with the bridal party! So glad I scouted out the day before and found this great location! 👌 Such a fun bridal party and we had some laughs and captured some great shots and I love the silhouettes we got of all the bridal party and Mikayla & Aaron dancing on the rock on sunset! 😍

Back to the resort for live music, great food, cold drinks, funny speeches and just an all round great night had by all!! 👌

I first met this awesome couple via one of my best mates who is related to Caitlin when I did an extended family shoot for him and his family. Such a lovely young couple who are clearly head over heels for each other!! They live in Mt Isa and travelled into Townsville to say I do with their family and friends at The Ville Resort!!

Their ceremony was held in the gardens in front of the pavilions overlooking Magnetic island and it was a clear but very hot and muggy day and I felt for poor Trent in his full suit but he wasn’t missing his gorgeous wife to be walk down the aisle!! Sweaty but fun afternoon had on-location photos with visiting Queens Gardens, the back of Entertainment centre for some shots with the Mustang then back to get some sunset shots at The Ville before heading into the Pavillion for their reception. Great night, fun speeches followed by the dance floor getting a workout! Awesome couple, awesome day! 👌

I recently travelled to my hometown of Ayr to capture an awesome couple that is David & Abbey tie the knot! These guys are such a gorgeous couple and we had a ball on their engagement shoot (even though it rained) and I knew it was going to be a fun day capturing their special day when it arrived and I was bang on the money!! 👌😁

David and Abbey had a stressful week leading up to the big day with rain most days leading up the wedding that caused a change of location for the ceremony which was held at Hutching’s Lagoon undercover overlooking the lagoon. I loved the spirit of these two with not letting the stress of the week get to them and powering through setting up their special day and making it amazing as it was!

Had a fun morning with David and his cheeky and funny groomsman & Bestman with some jokes and laughs shared! I could tell David was a little nervous in the morning but who wouldn’t be on the eve of marrying your one and only.

Capturing bridal prep with Abbey and her bride tribe was just as fun and when Abbey walked out in her amazing dress, well we all agreed she looked stunning and I was betting for sure David was going to tear up!

The ceremony was a short and lovely ceremony officiated by the lovely Aimee Cursio beside the lagoon and I was grateful the rain held off! A great afternoon of location shots using the local park and then getting creative with a ceiling of fairy lights arrected about car parking in the main street of Ayr before heading back to Populins hall for the reception. Dominique, Jenny and the team did such a wonderful job of decorating the hall and it looked amazing!! 😍 Fun night of speeches, cool table games with guests and some pretty lit moves on the dance floor had me filling my memory cards up with great memories of such a great night.

Catherine & Brendon are such a lovely, polite, inviting and cute couple who had an intimate wedding here in Townsville recently at the Mecure Townsville. Brendon & Catherine decided they wanted to be together the morning of the wedding and not the traditional keep apart from each other which I thought was special as they had been living apart recently because of Brendon’s works commitments. They had a lunchtime ceremony held on the Plantation Deck with Brendon’s father the officiant which was very special.

Following them tieing the knot, they enjoyed canapes and drinks with their close family and friends with some speeches and cutting of the cake for a relaxed early wedding reception. The reception finished around 4pm and then we finished the afternoon with their bridal party visiting a couple of great locations for some cracking shots and to capture the love these two have for each other! When I was contacted by Kylie to capture her and Ben’s wedding in Maleny, I won’t lie I was pretty excited!! 😁 I have heard some much and seen amazing photos from this gorgeous location and I was SUPER keen and excited to be traveling to Maleny to capture Kylie & Ben’s special day! This initial date for their wedding was April 2020 but we all know COVID changed many things and their Maleny wedding was put on hold! Although Kylie & Ben did not want to wait another year to become husband & wife so they had a very small ceremony to make it official but they still wanted to have Maleny dream wedding so fast forward to April this year and it all came together!!

I arrived the day before the wedding to do a scout of the area and to gauge the light and pick the best spots for location photos and I was tickled with excitement as this place is stunning!! 😍

Kylie & Ben choose to get ready in a large gorgeous home with their children and family which was very special and intimate and made for a relaxed morning. The ceremony was at the amazing located Weddings at Tiffany’s in their gorgeous chapel with jaw dropping views.

I had a conversation with Kylie before the ceremony asking if Ben will cry and she said “no we have been married for a year already he wont’ cry”! Well let me tell you, as soon as Kylie starting walking down the aisle Ben started to tear up and you will see Kylie in the photo laughing with joy coming down the aisle when she noticed. 😍

Such a lovely ceremony followed by an awesome afternoon of location photos in and around the venue then finishing with sunset at the famous One Tree Hill!! 😍👌 Big shout out to Patrick and his fully restored Classic 1950 Bentley for being an amazing chauffeur and being super helpful with even fixing Kylie’s dress for some photos!!

The reception location at Tiffany’s is stunning and such a perfect location and view to celebrate such an awesome couple! Staff were amazing and food was on point! 👌

I recently traveled down to Ayr to capture Casey & Therese say I do! I captured Therese’s sisters wedding a couple of years back and that’s when I first meet Therese and her lovely family and it was such an honour to capture another special day for this gorgeous family!

Fun morning with Casey and his groomsmen getting prep shots and you could see the nerves kicking in for Casey and that to me just showed how special this day was to him!

Headed over to Nikkiz Hair to capture the last of hair and makeup before heading back to Therese’s parents house for last of bridal prep. LOVED the detail in Therese dress and she looked absolutely stunning in it and I mentioned Casey would tear up for sure!!

The Bush Chapel at Plantation Park was were this lovely couple said their I do’s surrounded by their family and closest friends in the gorgeous park. We used the lovely surrounds of the park for family and bridal party photos, quick stop at a bougainvillea wall before finishing off at planned cane fire burn just for us which was epic!!! First time shooing a cane fire let alone putting a bride, groom and bridal party in the shot! We had about 30 secs or less of burn time for our shots and it was so worth it and loved the outcome!!

Populins was the venue for the reception and it was amazingly decorated and was a sight to see. Amazing night, with great food, great music, great people and was a perfect way to end a perfect day for the newly wed Mr & Mrs Hiette!!

Recently I had the pleasure of capturing the awesome Abby and Greg’s amazing day here in Townsville!! I knew from their engagement shoot that their big day was going to be fun and super awesome and I was right on the money!!

Had a few cheeky giggles with Greg and the boys in the morning for groom prep and loved Greg’s suit and bow tie combo!!

More giggles and laughter was had with Abby and the girls at bride prep and Abby’s hair and makeup was on point! LOVED Abby’s dress from Luv Bridal and really completed the gorgeous bride that she was!!

They said their I do’s at the gorgeous Sacred Heart Church surrounded by their closest family and friends. We had some great photo locations picked out and being a Friday wedding in Grad week, it put me to the test to still capture amazing shots without too many photo-bombers! I’ve captured the pop the champers shot before but Greg took it to the next level with giving the bottle a F1 podium win shake which resulted in not only myself and the videographer getting covered in bubbly but Greg couldn’t stop the spray and the poor maid of honour Chloe coped a stream in the eye! She was okay and we all laughed it off and I got some cracking shots which was so worth it!!

After an awesome afternoon of location shots we headed to their reception at the Grand Chancellor where the bridal party walked into Acca Dacca’s “Thunderstruck” and the mother of groom surprised them with an awesome sparkler fireworks entrance which was so fitting and looked awesome! Such a great night of speeches, laughs and dancing! What a night!!

Corey & Marina recently tied the knot on a gorgeous sunny day here in Townsville surrounded by family and friends. It was not the wedding they had planned for due to COVID but they persevered and adapted to the changes and still had an amazing wedding with family and friends.

Fun morning hanging out with Corey, his groomsmen, his father and their very cute son Alec getting some groom prep shots at the Allure Apartments before heading to The Ville to capture Marina, her bridesmaids and their gorgeous daughter Maliya for bridal prep! With her makeup & hair on point, Marina stepped into her wedding dress and looked amazing and it all became very exciting! Their intimate ceremony was held in Anderson gardens under a rain tree with a gorgeous floral arbor.

Fun afternoon cruising in the limo for location photos ending with sunset shots at Jezzine barracks before heading to Allure for the reception. The venue looked awesome and I LOVED the large double love chair for Marina & Corey at the bridal table! The evening rolled through with fun and laughter and the best part of the night was when Marina’s family members got up and sung a traditional Māori song and her cousin finished the formal proceedings with the Haka as a tribute which gave me goosebumps!! Such an awesome day for an awesome couple!!

Last week Rhys & Bri tied the knot and I was invited along to capture the magic of this gorgeous couples special day! Their day was fun and full of laughs from the first 5 mins behind the camera capturing the boys in the morning right through until the first dance at the end of the night!! I first met Bri & Rhys when I captured Rhys’ brother's wedding 2 years ago and after chatting with them I knew it was going to be a fun day to be a part of. Rhys and his groomsmen were such fun to shoot in the morning and more giggles were had with the gorgeous Bri and her Bride tribe for the bridal prep photos! Bri looked stunning in her dress and what was super special is Marions Sewing room sewed a pocket on the inside of her dress to hold her insulin pump as she has type 1 diabetes. I don’t’ know half of what Bri must go through but she is a true trooper always happy and this day she had every reason to be!!

Their ceremony was held in Anderson gardens under a gorgeous tree surrounded by close friends and family! We stuck around the gardens for photos using the dessert gardens before heading to Jezzine Barracks to capture the awesome sunset! Reception setup was stunning at Allure thanks to Dreamscene and the food by Michels Catering was amazing once again!! Awesome day and it was an honour to be a part of Rhys & Bri’s special day!

Recently Lee & Jamea tied the knot in Townsville and it was such a gorgeous day for such an awesome couple!!!

Things got a little stressful leading up to the wedding with the at the time COVID restrictions making the wedding they had planned not being able to proceed! Lee & Jamea did some research and scrambling and hired the services of Weddings & Events By Prestige HOPE to implement a COVID safety act plan which saved the day and allowed their special day to proceed which was an amazing result!!

The weather was perfect for their Queens Gardens ceremony under the magnificent rain tree surrounded by close family and friends followed by the gorgeous Tepee reception setup in a family members back yard which was very special and intimate!

Such a fun couple combined with their awesome bridal party made for an enjoyable day and location photos heaps of fun. Their gorgeous daughter Eleanor made me work for every shot and she gave me some great opportunities especially when she came up and poked her head between her dad’s legs while getting family photos!! LOL to cute!

Recently I had the pleasure of capturing Cody & Brittaney say I do!! Such an awesome day for such a lovely and gorgeous couple! Such kind-hearted and fun people who were surrounded by their loved ones on their special day. I had the honour of capturing Teri & David tie the know recently here in Townsville and even though COVID affected some family & friends not being able to attend their special day, some of their day was live-streamed by friends and family which was pretty awesome!

Anderson Gardens was the location for their ceremony which was gorgeous and then followed by an amazingly decorated reception at Allure Events with the most delicious food catered by Michels Catering!! Teri and David are such lovely people and it was such a fun day capturing the love and laughter of their day! I LOVED how Teri did not go with the norm wedding shoes and wore her custom converse with white ribbon!! Style and comfort, might be a new trend! Their very cute son Lincoln nearly stole the show a few times and I may have about 100 photos of just him but I’m sure Teri & David wont’ mind!!

This week I had the absolute honour of flying to Brisbane to capture the awesome couple that is Elliot and Charmaine say their I do’s!!

I first met Elliot & Charmaine in Townsville when I captured Charmaine’s twin sister Stephanie’s wedding which she was the maid of honour for. They are such a lovely couple and after spending the day with me and seeing the photos from Stephanie & Rohan’s wedding, they asked If I would travel to Brisbane to capture their special day and I was like “Hell to the Yeah!!”

The location for this union was the amazing venue that is the Customs House sitting along the Brisbane river overlooking Story Bridge and it did not disappoint. Not only because of the awesome location and photogenic venue that it is but also for the amazing staff that assisted us on the day. From Isaac holding the ladder for me for the group shot to Natasha assisting throughout the night and making things run smoothly!! What was special to me also was the fact that both families welcomed me with open arms and were so warm and helpful and it felt I was hanging out with family!!

This was my first wedding for 2020 and it did not disappoint that’s for sure! It was an honour to be a part of your special day Charmaine and Elliot and thank you for inviting me to capture your first moments as Mr & Mrs Smith! :)

Mr & Mrs McLaren - 12th October 2019 - Townsville Wedding

Caitlin & CJ’s wedding was my last one for 2019 and it did not disappoint! Hence the massive blog of images! Sorry not sorry! :P

I meet Caitlin at a wedding expo this year and she was lovely and keen to lock me in to capture her special day! I meet her husband to be CJ at our pre wedding meetings and these guys are so good together and complement each other that I knew their day would be awesome! There day was perfect with their ceremony being held in their front yard surrounded with close friends and family. Into the backyard after the ceremony the guests were treated to a large grazing plate and wood-fired pizzas with cold beverages on tap thanks to the awesome Kombi Keg! They even had vodka punch on tap!! YUM!!

We ventured out to some close but awesome locations with the B&G and their cheeky and fun bridal party before heading back to enter the reception where the awesome live music supplied by Trent Bell and Chris Baker kept the vibe of the party pumping and dance floor filled!! The Pickled Herring Food truck supplied an amazing sample box with a brisket burger, arancini balls & loaded fries! OMG!! SO GOOD!! Their Malteaser and Salted caramel donuts were to die for also!!

The rest of the night was heaps of fun with dancing, drinking, dancing, singing and just a cracking good time!! Trent and Chris were playing all the favs and when Horses came on, well I almost put the camera down and joined in with singing!! Awesome couple, awesome day! :)

Chris & Lori exchanges vows recently and I was invited along to capture their special day!

Fun morning with Chris and his groomsmen followed by just as much fun had capturing Lori and her gorgeous bridesmaids. Lori is such a beautiful person inside and out and when she walked out in her gown.. OMG Stunning!! The ceremony location was the lovely Anderson Gardens under a rain tree with family and friends. Their fur baby and flower girl Nala looked so cute with her little flower collar and she did a great job walking the aisle and is such a well behaved pooch!! Gorgeous ceremony followed by an awesome afternoon of location photos with amazing light leading us into sunset! The reception looked stunning, food was on point and the desserts… well let me just say the yummy desserts accompanied with traditional Italian treats made by family was amazeballs and I may have overindulged!!! The night carried on with great live music by Jeremy Romeo getting moves popping on the dance floor mixed with fun in the photo booth from In the Booth, it was a fun night had by all! I loved the sparkler exit we captured at the end for this gorgeous couple and it was a perfect finish to a perfect day!

Mr & Mrs Jensen - 24th September 2019 - Fiji Wedding

I first met Emma & James in Fiji last year when they were guests at Emma’s cousin’s wedding which I captured. I loved James sense of humor and Emma is a lovely soul so we hit it off and when they seen the photos from the wedding they asked if I would come back to Fiji in 2019 to capture their special day! I was like “HELL TO THE YEAH”!!

The lead up to the wedding we discussed the big day and how they just wanted a chilled day and for everyone to enjoy themselves which is exactly what their special day was! Chilling with James and his mates in the his room sharing a bottle of aged port was a good start to the day! Got some shots of James with his mates in the background throwing banter before heading to Emma. Emma is such a lovely happy lady and with her hair, makeup and the dress, well she really glowed and I was certain James would shed a tear as he watched her walk down the aisle!

Short buggy ride up to the Chapel with the amazing views is where James and Emma said I do with their closet friends and family present! After the ceremony the guests headed to the Sundowner bar for pre reception drinks and I suggested that James & Emma join them as we had heaps of time and they could spend some time with their guests before whisking them away for photos and to chase the Fiji Sunset!!

The grounds and gardens of the Outrigger are gorgeous so there was ample opportunity for great shots just within the resort. We jumped back on the buggy and headed up the hill again to a sneaky little spot where the Outrigger take their B&G’s to get an awesome shot of the sunset overlooking the local Villages.

Their entrance to the reception was soon accompanied with traditional dancers showcasing dances from Fiji and the surrounding Islands with guests being asked to join them which was fun to capture. The same dancers are also Fire Dancers and their show was smoking hot to say the least!! Pun Intended!! :P

The traditional dishes with the buffet were tasty and with the drinks flowing and the tunes pumping, the night was one to remember!! Such an honour to have been asked to travel to Fiji once again to capture James & Emma’s special day! Thank you Mr & Mrs Jensen for choosing my wife and I to be a part of your special day!

Mr & Mrs Finlay - 14th September - Mt Isa Wedding

Last week I traveled to the outback location of Mt Isa to capture a lovely couple say I do!! I’d never been to Mt Isa before so I was a bit excited and also a little nervous as to what was in store for locations for the wedding! I arrived the day before the big day and did a drive around with the bride to be Leeusha and her maid of honour Leonie who is a photographer herself so my mind was put to ease knowing I was in good hands to find some great locations for after the ceremony and we found some crackers!!

I attended the ceremony rehearsal to scope out the location and also meet the bridal party. Just from this brief meeting I knew the big day was going to be fun and I was spot on!!

The day started with Malcolm and his groomsmen at their home with fur baby Dig joining in on the group shots! Great bunch of men and had some good laughs while getting ready! Loved that Malcolm’s mother was present to help him get ready and be part of the photos! We did a quick stop to get some photos with Malcolm’s grandmother which was a very special and emotional moment.

Next stop was Leeusha and her bride tribe who were getting ready at the Ibis in town. Such a lovely group of ladies who aren’t shy of having a good belly laugh and having a great time! Leeusha looked gorgeous and I loved that she was so chill and happy! She was marrying the man of her dreams, why wouldn’t she be happy! We did a first look with Leeusha dad and he started to tear up which was so sweet and Leeusha had to try all the tricks in the book to stop her tears!

Awesome ceremony at the camp draft grounds with 150 of their friends and family watching the special moment. Loved the arbor which was handmade by Leeusha and Malcolm! I had to step in and help out when Leeusha was trying to fit Malcolm’s ring on the wrong hand and I whispered while still shooting, “Wrong hand”. Good laugh when they realized and a great memory of the day. The afternoon was spent capturing the newlyweds with their awesome bridal party in locations that I felt really reflected Mt Isa, red dirt, ant hills and all!

Back to the camp draft grounds for an evening of fun, beer on tap, good old country dancing and just a hell of a great time! Such an awesome day and my first Mt Isa wedding capturing the awesome Mr & Mrs Finlay is definitely one to remember!!

Mr & Mrs Cocks - 17th August 2019 - Townsville Wedding

I had the absolute pleasure of capturing the gorgeous Melissa & Steve say their I do’s recently here in Townsville surrounded by close friends and family! Melissa & Steve contacted me and booked in their wedding without meeting me and when we finally met at her cousins wedding (which I was capturing) and we hit it off, I knew I was going to have an awesome time capturing their special day and I was spot on!!

Such a fun day with heaps of laughter and cheeky banter starting with Steve, his brother and his father helping get them ready and keeping them check in the morning and the laughter continued throughout the day! Melissa looked absolutely stunning and she rocked her dress from Luv Bridal!! What I really loved about the day was the love that each family had not only for each other but for each other’s life partner. Such loving and kind families becoming one for equally lovely and beautifully kind people!! It was an honour to be a part of Melisa and Steve’s special day! Another special part of the day that needs a mention was the Harley Davidson escort Melissa received leading her to the ceremony. People were rubber necking and stopping in their tracks to witness this epic entrance!!

What more can I say than awesome couple, awesome bridal party, awesome day, awesome night and just all round AMAZEBALLS!!!
