Mr & Mrs Pendrey - 27th July 2019 - Townsville Wedding

Tory and Jessica tied the knot recently at the awesome venue that is the NQ Elite Rodeo grounds up at Harvey’s Range! Such a lovely young couple and it was a such a fun day with lots of laughs and giggles!! Started at the grounds where Tory and his groomsmen were getting ready and such an awesome area for photos. How cute does Tory’s fur baby Dozer look in his little pink tie standing next to his dad!! Back to Jessica’s parents house where the ladies were finishing off hair and makeup! Jessica is a hairdresser and so are her 2 sisters who in were in the bridal party also and it was a nice touch seeing them do each others hair for the big day. We created a first look for Jessica’s dad and as you can see in the photos he was totally taken away with how gorgeous his daughter looked!! Bit of fun with the family before heading back to the Rodeo grounds to capture their ceremony in front of the awesome barn doors. We let the newlyweds mingle with their guests for a few drinks and to taste the awesome food platters before getting some great shots around the venue then heading to the lookout to make the most of the awesome view that was just minutes away! The reception was inside the barn and I just love the relaxed feeling this venue offers and with the wood fires scattered around to help with the late night cool that was creeping in, it was a comfortable and relaxed night! LOVED the Mimosa Bar where guests had ingredients laid out for everyone to make their own awesome bevvy!!! The cake looked amazing and the sparkly cupcakes that were made by Jessica’s mum were a hit!! As you can see in the photos there was a little mishap when cutting the cake. The knife handle broke while trying to cut the cake the reaction was priceless!! I was shooting the first dance and moving around the couple when I had an idea to shoot from outside the barn with the awesome barndoors pulled closed just enough to frame the gorgeous couple! I think it turned out pretty sweet!! The father daughter dance was perfect and the love Jessica’s Dad has for her was evident and made me think of the day when I’m up doing the same dance with our daughters on their special day!! (That will be a LONG time yet LOL) Just before I left the dance floor was kicking off with nearly everyone getting up to some great tunes supplied by Travis the DJ and I just had to stick around and capture the fun and heel kicking! Great day, great night and an amazing couple! Honoured to have been a part of your special day Tory and Jessica!

Congrats Mr & Mrs Pendrey!!

Mr & Mrs Howell - 20th July 2019 - Townsville Wedding

Recently I captured the awesome couple that is Amy & Dave become Mr & Mrs Howell here in Townsville! From out first meeting and the fun afternoon we had for their engagement shoot I could tell it would be an absolute joy to capture their special and I was right on the money!! Such lovely, kind people and they clearly are smitten with each other from their cute connection I seen when photographing them. The big day was amazing from the start with the weather being spot on right through to the amazing setup at their reception!! Fun was had with Dave and his groom tribe in the morning using the awesome Ville buildings for our backdrop. Up to the presidential suite to capture Amy and her bride tribe who were chill and excited for the big day! Amy looked stunning in her dress and as you can see in the first look I arranged for her bridesmaids and her father, they also agreed she looked stunning!! The Sacred Heart Cathedral was the gorgeous location where they said their I do’s before heading to Anzac park to meet their fur baby Pummba for some family photos! How cute did he look in his little mini suit and bow tie!!! After some fun in the park with the newlyweds and their fun bridal party, we headed to Jezzine Barracks to catch the awesome sunset before heading back to The Ville for their reception. The reception looked amazing with great attention to detail!! Great night with some funny speeches and Amy & Dave wowed their guests with their choreographed first dance. Was an honour to be a part of such an awesome couple’s special day!!

Congrats Mr & Mrs Howell!!

Mr & Mrs Prince - 17th July 2019 - Townsville Wedding

I captured one of the most cutest couples say I do last week!! They are so smitten with each other and very much in love!! Rohan & Stephanie are such lovely people and as I said, very much in love with each other and I knew their special was going to be just that, special! Rohan & Stephanie were very lucky in winning a local competition at a wedding expo which had their ceremony & reception location gifted to them for their special day from the Townsville City Council. The ceremony was inside the Palmetum amongst the gorgeous gardens and they were married under an awesome arbor decorated by the ever talented Fresh As Sas which was an awesome touch to their ceremony! Had a great afternoon shooting firstly in the gardens at Palmetum then heading to Jezzine Barracks until sunset which did not disappoint! On our way to reception Stephanie & Rohan did a quick sneaky run to their fav pizza place for a snack before heading to the reception. The reception was held at the Riverside Gardens Community Centre which was part of their competition win and it was a lovely setup for a relaxed evening with close friends and family. Rohan is a ballroom dance teacher (they met when Stephanie attending a dance lesson and guess who the teacher was? wink wink) so I knew their dance would be on point and it was! Awesome day for an awesome couple!! It was an honour to be a part of their special day.

Congrats Mr & Mrs Prince!!

Magnetic Island was the location for Jake & Lauri to exchange their vow’s to each other recently! Such a glorious day to be married on the gorgeous Magnetic Island and everything was perfect!! Fun morning with Jake and the groomsmen before heading to Lauri and her bride tribe! Lauri’s makeup was on point and she looked stunning in her simple but elegant gown!! The ceremony location was in Picnic Bay on the headland overlooking the beach and it was perfect with a nice sea breeze and clear skies for this special union. Had an awesome afternoon with the newlywed Mr & Mrs Moss and their awesome bridal party driving around the Island utilizing the beautiful backdrops and scenery Magnetic Island has to offer!

Reception was at Peppers and once again did not disappoint. Ambience, location, food all on point!! Fun night with some cool kids doing the slide on the dancefloor, great speeches and guests dancing the night away! It was a pleasure to be a part of this couples special day!!

Mr & Mrs Mangano - 6th July 2019 - Home Hill Wedding QLD

Recently I traveled to Home Hill to capture a gorgeous couple who first met in year 2! The connection started when Andrew looked at Kaitlin’s feet and said “They are boys shoes”!

After school they were close friends for many years and in December 2014 they caught up again and Andrew yelled “Kaitlin’s the love of my life” on Christmas Eve at the local pub and that was where their real love began!!

The love these 2 have for each other was evident throughout the day and spending it with them and their super fun bridal party was an awesome day all round! The reception was held in their backyard in Home Hill and it was a stunning setup with a clear ceiling marquee, gorgeous flowers and decorations complete with an awesome custom made neon sign at their entrance. The dance floor got a little slippery with the cold night air and the lads took it upon themselves to make the most of this slipperiness and came running from the sides and started foot surfing across the floor which was hilarious!

Kaitlin & Andrews day was amazing and I had a ball being a part of it!! :)

Congrats Mr & Mrs Mangano!!

Mr & Mrs Armstrong - 29th June 2019 - Townsville Wedding

Last weekend Sharni-Lee and Blair said I do in Townsville and I was there to capture their special day!! Such a fun laid back couple who bounce off and compliment each other well and it was evident throughout the day these 2 are in love!! Had a ball with Blair and the boys in the morning with some cheeky jokes and some really bad dad jokes shared! Hey Fergo!! LOL!! Sharni-Lee’s gorgeous bride tribe were a pleasure to capture and help Sharni-Lee into her stunning gown ready to meet her husband to be! Sharni-Lee is a gorgeous young lady inside and out and was such a pleasure to capture. I loved how she couldn’t stop smiling even when I asked for a non smiling shot!

Gorgeous ceremony in St Joseph’s church followed by a fun and relaxed afternoon with the newlyweds and their fun bridal party on our photo locations!! The reception was held at The Ville which did not disappoint and I absolutely loved their bomboniere’s which were individual jars of honey from Blair and his parents Bee hives!! YUM!!!

What more can I say than, awesome day and awesome couple!!

Congrats Mr & Mrs Armstrong!!

Mr & Mrs Binder - 22nd June 2019 - Townsville Wedding

Last Saturday the awesome couple that are Cheryl & Tyler got hitched and I had the pleasure of being invited along to capture their awesome day! The weather was on point with clear skies and a coolness in the air!! Such a fun day with an awesome couple and their fun and cheeky bridal party!! What I love about Cheryl and Tyler is that they are so polite and nothing was an issue and the love they have for each other is very present especially when we setup a first look before their ceremony and Tyler turned to see his gorgeous bride to be with a smile that was not fading!! The ceremony was held at the Ryan Community Centre with Father Dave Lancini who is always a pleasure to work with and I just love the special gift he gives to all the couples he marries! We chose some great locations and one of the locations was being used by another photographer and their couple when we arrived so instead of using our intended location I improvised and didn’t waste any time in creating some great shots of the newlyweds in some amazing long grass nearby and the afternoon light was amazing!!!! Couple of shots to finish off on the side of Castle Hill for sunset (which was amazeballs) before heading to The Ville for their reception. Shout out to Julie and team at The Ville for yet another awesome wedding reception setup!! Michael from In The Booth Photobooth was very busy with all the guests jumping in for some fun!! At the end of the night we were lucky enough to have a clear view of the fireworks display that was part of an event that night! Free fireworks display on your wedding day… yes please!!! Such an awesome day with such an amazing couple!! Thank you Cheryl and Tyler for allowing me to be a part of your special day!!

Congrats Mr & Mrs Binder!!

Mr & Mrs Kruze - 15th June 2019 - Ayr Wedding

I captured the most fun couple say their forever’s to each other last Saturday in Ayr!! Such an amazing day and such an awesome couple!! I first met Ashleigh 8 years ago when I captured her sisters wedding and she was her bridesmaid! Fast forward to last weekend and it was her turn to marry the man of her dreams with her sister by her side! Now I usually only post about 80 – 100 images for each wedding blog post but Ashleigh & William’s day was such an amazeballs day I just had to share more!! It started with laughs and tom foolery with the men in the morning, more laughter with the bride tribe, gorgeous ceremony location coupled with amazing light filtering through the trees, great photo locations in Ayr, Home Hill then to end up at the lookout of Mt Inkerman Hill for sunset………well I think the images speak for themselves how gorgeous this couple are and how much fun their special day was!

Big shoutout to their awesome bridal party which made the day so much fun and gave me plenty of fun photo opportunities!! Congrats Ashleigh and William and it was hands down one of the most fun and best weddings I have had the pleasure to capture and it was an honour to be a part of your special day! 😊  Cheers to Mr & Mrs Kruze!!!

Mr & Mrs Dugmore - 1st June 2019 - The Farm - Townsville

Last weekend I captured the awesome Campbell and Cassie say I do at The Farm Plumeria Road at Black River!! This was my first wedding at The Farm so I ventured out a week out from the wedding with Cassie and the owner Sandra for a photo location tour of the area and we found some great spots! Fast forward to the big day and it was very overcast and it had rained the day before so we changed our locations on the fly and I found some great spots while shooting the groom and just looking around the grounds close by! Cassie looked stunning and I had a fun time capturing bridal prep with Cassie and her sisters who were her bridesmaids which was very special! Quick couple of shots with Campbell and the men before the heading to the ceremony with them rolling up on the back of the Buck’s Truck which I thought was an awesome way to enter your wedding!! The ceremony was gorgeous with close family and friends watching on under the gazebo and lush lawns!

After a quick mingle and a drink with their guests we headed out on the bus they hired with me at the wheel to a location I chose when driving in. Awesome afternoon with finding a couple of sweet spots on the fly and then heading back to the barn to start the reception! Such a relaxed vibe the whole day and into the night and there was no time frame to packup and very handy with the glamping options for their guest made it very easy to party on well into the night! The Happy Kitchen was serving up a selection of amazing food for dinner! I had the brisket burger and OMG it was AMAZEBALLS!!! There was a smores station setup conveniently next to the open fire pit which was most welcome on the cool night! We ended the night with the shot of the newly wed Mr & Mrs Dugmore with the chess pieces and as I took the shot it starting to lightly rain which was awesome and added another element to the image!

I can tell you I haven’t laughed so hard in a while then I did with this lot all day and on location photos!! Such a fun cheeky B&G and bridal party which made the afternoon very enjoyable!! Congrats Cassie & Campbell and thank you for choosing me to be a part of your special day! 😊

Was such a great day with a fun bridal party and the gorgeous couple Breanna & Chris are high school sweethearts and it was clear they were meant to be as one!! The Mercure did not disappoint with an outdoor ceremony with reception on the plantation deck and dance floor under the stars! Mr & Mrs Sheriff - 23rd May 2019 - Magnetic Island

Short overseas trip to the gorgeous Magnetic Island last Thursday to capture the gorgeous and intimate union of Alexandra and Kirby!! This was such a intimate day with Alexandra & Kirby’s parents and their children as their wedding guests and it was amazing! Such love was present and Kirby’s vows almost had me tearing up!! Such a relaxed day and the setting for their ceremony on the beach of Horseshoe Bay was stunning!! The relaxed atmosphere of the ceremony was most evident with their cute son Finley who played with his truck in the sand and wandered amongst the guests throughout the ceremony! He loved the camera and is such a cute kid! Kirby’s daughter Amelia is such a well mannered young lady and was a joy to photograph and kept an eye on her little brother! After the ceremony we headed back to their rented holiday home the Villa Kembali (stunning!) for some cronuts, nibbles platter and to pop a bottle of bubbly. We then headed off on location in their hired mini moke to the Boulders for some shots and were surprised how close the rock wallabies came to us and that they love to eat wedding bouquets!! LOL! We finished up with sunset shots back on Horseshoe bay which was amazeballs!!!! I then boarded the ferry home while the newlweds joined their family at the Barefoot Art Food Wine for a celebration dinner!

I really loved capturing this intimate wedding with Alexandra, Kirby and their lovely family! Congrats Kirby and Alexandra and thank you for choosing me to capture your special day! :)

Mr & Mrs Cannavan - 5th May 2019 - Airlie Beach

Road tripped to the amazing location that is Airlie Beach recently to capture an awesome couple say their I do’s! Melissa & Ryan chose the Coral Sea Resort as their venue for their ceremony and reception! Such a great venue and location is top notch being right beside the ocean and the view of the sunset was second to none!! The weather the day before was a little warmish and cloudy and the morning of the wedding was looking like rain! But the weather cleared away quickly and we were left with an amazingly clear day!!

I love it when I see certain vendors on my list that are part of the day as I know the bride to be will look amazing and Joanne from Joanne Dromgold Make-up and Luisa from Whitsunday Wedding Hair Lounge had Melissa and her bride tribe looking AMAZING!! Melissa chose a standout fire red lipstick and matched with her flawless makeup, hair and gown…. well the images speak for themselves!

Ceremony was on the manicured lawn by the pool overlooking the ocean and Ryan was a little nervous as his stunning wife to be walked down the aisle! I loved the shots just after the first kiss with Melissa in a fit of laughter as she realised Ryan was now also sporting her fire red lipstick!! Such a fun day right from the start with Ryan and his groomsmen, location shots along the boardwalk through to the last shot of the night with the men puffing up a storm with their cigars!! Such a honour to have been chosen to not only capture but be a part of this awesome couple’s special day! Congrats Ryan & Melissa and can’t wait to show you the rest of your amazing day!

Shoutout also to Sharon and the awesome team at Coral Sea Resort who were a pleasure to work with and helped make Ryan & Melissa’s day amazing!

Last Friday I had the pleasure of capturing Brett & Sarah say I do!! It was an awesome fun day starting with heading to Rowes Bay golf club for a bit of fun with the lads followed by groom capture, bride capture then to a great location for a first look!! This first look had a twist unbeknown to Brett! Sarah had teed up Brett’s best man to dress up in a gown with flower crown and veil to surprise the unsuspecting groom to be!! It was such a fun moment to capture as you can see in the images below as Brett was super nervous and when he turned around…. well the images speak for themselves! LOL! We did a redo of the first look and Brett was gobsmacked when he turned to see his gorgeous bride to be!! The afternoon was spent at a couple of locations capturing Brett and Sarah and their fun bridal party before heading to there ceremony in the late afternoon. The ceremony location was under an awesome tree full of fairy lights alongside the Ross River beside Touch of Salt which was the reception venue! Mr & Mrs Mitchell - 13th of January 2019 - Hervery's Range

I captured Ingrid & Grant become Mr & Mrs Mitchell at the North Queensland Rodeo grounds at Hervey Range last weekend and it was awesome!! It was touch and go with the weather with a couple of light showers in the afternoon but we were lucky to have an awesome sunset sky!! Ingrid looked stunning in her hand made dress by the ever talented Estelle the Dress Maker!! It was a unique dress with a detachable overskirt which really made the dress that extra special especially when Ingrid made her entrance to the reception and removed it with one hand while still making her entrance and tossed it to her mother to catch!! Nailed it!! The ceremony location was stunning infront of the large American style barn frontage of the reception venue. The clouds creeped over and it got quite muggy and a little hot under the collar epescially for one poor guest who passed out moments before the first kiss! He was in good hands though as the lovely bride is a nurse and there were 5 ICU nurses attending as guests. The afternoon was very chilled and relaxed with Pimms, Beer and Champange being served up with some amazing grazing platters! Got some awesome shots around the venue with only venturing 100m from the guests to access some great locations for photos. The reception venue was massive and setup was minimal but classy and with bench seating and finger food on the flow the guest were settled in for a great night! Ingrid’s father got very emotional when it came time to talk about his gorgeous daughter and I even started to feel the emotion thinking of when I do the same at our daughters wedding!! Awesome day, awesome couple, congrats Mr & Mrs Mitchell and it was an honour to capture your special day!!

Anna-Maree made a gorgeous bride and telling by the smile on Stephen’s face as she walked down the aisle towards him, he was head over heels!!

I had the pleasure of capturing Naomi and Daniel’s special day recently here in Townsville. Leading up the wedding there was concern about the weather and even though it rained briefly in the morning it all cleared up and turned out to be a glorious day! Bride and groom prep was at The Ville which has new great surroundings which I utilized for capturing Daniel and his groomsmen with plenty of laughs and banter in between! When I arrived to Naomi I was greeted with a beautiful happy smile from the bride to be and her makeup and hair were flawless and I couldn’t wait to get her in her dress and start capturing the stunning bride she would be! Naomi’s vibrant and bubbly nature is infectious and we had a great time capturing her portrait and laughed a little too much!

The ceremony was held up at the Heritage Tea Rooms at the Bush Chapel which is located in lovely surrounds and we got some great shots there before we headed back into town to a couple more locations before heading back to The Ville for the reception. Naomi was a stunning bride and I took every opportunity to showcase off her amazing gown and Daniel was looking pretty slick in his suit so it was easy to overshoot these guys!!! The entrance to their reception was extra special as a group of talented young senior dancers from TAPA (Townsville Academy of Performing Arts) where Naomi works as a dance teacher lead them in with a great performance!!

I had a such a fun day capturing this gorgeous couple and I wish Naomi and Daniel all the happiness for their future together as Mr & Mrs Fontaine!!! :)

Mr & Mrs Loizou - 27th October 2018 - Townsville

Last weekend I had the honour of capturing the union of Nick and Charlene at the local Greek Orthodox Church. Their day was special as are all weddings but Nick and Charlene’s journey over the last 12 months made their day even more magical and special to not only them but their family and friends. See Nick and Charlene were supposed to get married on the 28th of October last year but on September 7th 2017 seven weeks out from their wedding, Charlene was diagnosed with high grade Invasive Carcinoma Breast Cancer!!! Nick rang me very upset with the devastating news and put the wedding on hold until they knew more and what the future held for Charlene. After 20 weeks of chemo and lumpectomy surgery the tumor had completely shrunk and Charlene had no further spread of cancer to her lymph nodes and she started rehab to get her strength back. Nick is truly in love with Charlene and he put his life on hold with having 8 months off work to attend her every appointment and be by her side!! After this amazing outcome the wedding was back on!! Happy dance!! The day of the wedding was perfect clear skies and even though it was a little warm nothing was going to put a damper on this day! Charlene looked gorgeous and she had a smile from ear to ear all day as she had dreamed of this day and it was finally here!! Nick and the men looked very dapper in their suits and even their dog Jaxx put on his tux for this special day! After saying their I do’s in the gorgeous Greek church we went on location for some snaps and fun until sunset when we then headed to the awesome venue the Brewery for their reception to celebrate this gorgeous couple! Such happiness and joy for Nick and Charlene that they finally got to this amazing day and it did not disappoint! I wish you all the happiness in the world in your married life together!! What you have both just faced together over the last twelve months is amazing and a credit to your love and support for each other! Congrats Mr & Mrs Loizou!!!

The weather was perfect seeing as the day before it was VERY windy but the wind died down for us which was perfect for their outdoor ceremony only meters from the beach. Lauren looked stunning in her gown from Drew Valentine and Josh was very dapper in his suit and bowtie from YD! I had a ball with Josh and Lauren on their engagement shoot and I knew their wedding was going to be just as fun epescially with their smokin hot and fun bridal party in tow!!! :) Got some cracking shots on location and we arrived at our last location just in time to grab shots from the awesome sunset before heading to the reception! The location for the reception was meters from the beach and was setup under the stars which had an awesome vibe. The food was top shelf and I can say I have not seen such a massive dessert table and it all tasted amazeballs!!!! We finished the night off with out last shot on the beach with some backlit flash magic, great way to top off an awesome day for an awesome couple!! Congrats Mr & Mrs Bonanno it was an honour to be a part of your special day!

Mr & Mrs Clun - 25th August 2018 - Airlie Beach

Recently I road tripped to the gorgeous Airlie Beach to capture Joseph & Danielle tie the knot! Such an awesome location Airlie Beach and the weather was on point for their special day! :)  The Big 4 was the location and everything from the groom prep through to the reception was held here and I must say I was impressed with the venue and the Palm House was a great function space and was beautifully decorated for their reception. Joseph and Danielle spent their day surrounded by family and friends who are very dear to them and there was a great vibe all day! The ceremony was a little extra special with Joseph's father Louis conducting the ceremony and you could tell it was an honour and that he was proud of his son and Danielle making the special lifelong vows to each other!! Awesome day with and an awesome couple!! Congrats Mr & Mrs Clun!!

Mr & Mrs Bowtell - 18th August 2018 - Magnetic Island

Last weekend I travelled overseas to the stunning Magnetic Island to capture Steve and Taylor say their I do’s!! Peppers Resort which is an awesome venue was the location for groom prep, bridal prep, ceremony and also reception which was on point and very convenient!! LOL!  😊 I had a ball with Steve & Taylor on their engagement shoot recently and I just knew from the shoot that their wedding was going to be a relaxed and happy day and I was excited for what we would capture! Steve and Taylor are such easy-going, lovely people and this day was everything to them and it was an honour to be a part of it!! Fun was had on locations photos with climbing boulders, me hiding in bushes (Again! Can’t help myself! LOL!) and walking a long jetty for some great shots at sunset! After some cracking speeches, I opened up my photo corner which was a hit and was hilarious to see what prop combinations people came up with! Best part of the night was when Taylor and her dad graced the dance floor for the daddy daughter dance wearing some of my photo props, GOLD!!!  Great day, amazing couple LOVED every second of it! Congrats Steve and Taylor and thank you for choosing me to be a part of your special day!! 😊
